The film under review in this essay is "Little Women" (2019), whose creative thinking and textual consumption is analysed and discussed. This paper takes the film apart in the sense that different angles are considered which include when it was created, filming, the manner of distribution, viewers’ consumption, and how it impacts the film industry as such. Through the analysis, it has become evident that that the movie contains a stronger prominent concept, which attempts to struggle against the notion of male gaze, which has existed throughout previous movies. By looking at costuming design, ways of non-linear editing, and global distribution channels, this paper shows how present-day media production culture can support feminist filmmaking through a commercial production industry paradigm.
